Terms of Use
General terms for downloading and using CGT Desk while the product remains under active development.
Purpose
CGT Desk is a desktop capital-gains and tax-workpaper application intended to help organize asset transactions, holdings, valuations, reconciliations and supporting reports.
No professional advice
CGT Desk is a calculation and workpaper tool. It does not provide legal, investment or professional tax advice. Users remain responsible for the applicable law, entity circumstances, return requirements and filing positions.
Verification
Users should verify spreadsheet mappings, source data, duplicate warnings, valuations, reconciliation differences, cost-basis matching and report totals before relying on an output.
Backups
Users are responsible for maintaining secure independent copies of working files, backups and exported reports. Application backups do not replace an independent backup strategy.
Shared website account
A website account may be used across products on this site. LedgerDesk currently uses account and licensing services. CGT Desk does not require an account at this time.
